Patient information
- 45-year-old male with a major crush injury to the distal phalanx of the left index finger from a wood chipper treated by completion amputation and flap reconstruction
- Developed an exquisitely painful ulnar digital nerve neuroma with a trigger point interfering with work-related and other daily activities
Procedure
- Mobilization of a fasciocutaneous flap
- Excision of ulnar digital nerve neuroma
- STRAVIX Tissue wrap of residual digital nerve and closure
Results
Incision closed at 2 weeks
Finger range of motion at 4 weeks
Patient back to work at 6 weeks
